Great home made fresh Okinawan food!

If you want real Okinawan food that contributed to the high longevity rates of the people since long ago, this is the place to go to. While it is expensive (generally ¥2,800~ per meal), you get a variety of delicious Okinawan vegetables picked fresh by owner Kiyoko-san. You can see her picking fresh vegetables right in the garden behind you sometimes. Everything tastes excellent and vegetarian options are available, too. I highly recommend this homey, authentic restaurant for delicious and healthy Okinawan food :) English is somewhat written on the menu but not fully catered to. Yen cash recommended. Kids welcome. Usually only open Sat, Sun, Mon.

The flavor of the food was surprisingly good . I sometimes have bias against "healthy" food, but I did not feel that flavor was sacrificed.

A shop that plays an important role in inheriting Okinawan culture.The contents of the dishes and the creation of shops that make use of old private houses are very wonderful.The plants in the garden are almost edible and feel rich Okinawa.There are three courses. It's nice to have a vegan menu (2) and a meat menu.A shop that shaped the owner's thoughts on Okinawa.Everything is cooked carefully, so I think it is appropriate to have a high price.But maybe there is a course that you can enjoy more casually.

What a healthy delious treat we had. This not a cheap meal, but it is healthy, delicious and filling! I would go back every week, if I could! Setting is interesting. Outside there are trees and plants every where. The inside is both clean and neat, and chaotic order. The service is wonderful. English is limited, but nothing is lost in the experience. I really want to go back tomorrow! This is the grandparents' or great-grandparents' wisdom on local foods that many cultures are losing because we've become too modernised and 'sophisticated'. In the words of the T-1, "I'll be back."

It is a traditional Okinawan cuisine. Well, naive or wild, cuisine and grandma are both dynamic. It is late to come out for a while, but I also feel like having a relaxing time while reading old Okinawa books. I can hardly catch grandma machine gun talks, so I think I can enjoy more if it is possible, if it is easy explanation of cooking etc. There is a stray cat in the garden. It was a cat food if I thought that they had even cooked rest.
